Method:
- Retrieve the wine from your cellar about two hours before the meal to let it gradually reach room temperature.
- Choose a simple, attractive decanter.
- Slowly pour the wine into the decanter, ideally letting it flow down the inner surface.
Young wines should be aerated about an hour before the meal to soften their sharpness and enhance their body. Older wines should be gently aerated just before the meal to ensure smooth decantation, allowing sediment to be removed effectively.
