Paris Design Week 2026: A Wine Lover’s Guide
Planning a September trip to Paris? Make room for a different kind of wine discovery. From September 10–19, 2026, L’Atelier du Vin and Architecture Intérieure du Vin welcome Paris Design Week visitors to their permanent showroom at 80 rue Bonaparte, where French wine tools, tasting glassware, and cellar design come together.
For American wine lovers and design enthusiasts, our Saint-Germain-des-Prés showroom offers a chance to get to know the people and ideas behind the objects. Meet a designer, follow a sketch as it takes shape, or consider how a room can be built around a wine collection.
This is our first Paris Design Week, and we have planned a series of personal, hands-on encounters. Use the schedule below to find the experience that fits your Paris itinerary.
French Wine Design, Up Close
A corkscrew on the dinner table can tell a much larger story. In our centennial year, we are opening a window onto the design thinking that has shaped L’Atelier du Vin since 1926.
The way a tool rests in your hand, the movement of wine inside a glass, and the place a bottle occupies in a room all guide our work. Each is an opportunity to make enjoying wine feel more thoughtful and intuitive.
At the showroom, you can explore these ideas with the people who develop them. The week connects objects you might use at home with the creative process behind them in France.

THURSDAY
September 10
An Evening at Our Paris Showroom
6–9 p.m. Paris time · Reservation required; limited capacity
Begin your visit with our opening reception on rue Bonaparte. This evening marks L’Atelier du Vin’s debut at Paris Design Week and brings guests into the setting that inspired the program.
Spend time with the collections and discover how we approach the pleasures of opening, serving, and sharing a bottle. The showroom puts those ideas in context, from individual wine tools to the spaces around them.
It is also a chance to meet the people who bring the house’s designs to life and start a conversation about what makes a useful object worth keeping.
FRIDAY
September 11
Inside a Designer’s Sketchbook
3–6 p.m. Paris time
What happens between noticing a need at the table and creating a tool to answer it? This session opens up the early stages of product design.
Designer Margherita Matticari will share her sketchbooks and the development process behind a wine tool. Follow the drawings, questions, and experiments that help an initial idea become something you can hold.
Then try the process yourself in an introduction to designing your own wine tool. It is an invitation to think about the small details that shape everyday use.
For anyone drawn to craftsmanship or curious about how products are made, this is a chance to look beyond the finished piece.
WEEKEND SESSIONS

A New Perspective on Wine Aromas
11 a.m.–7 p.m. Paris time · September 12, 13, and 19
Take an early look at L’Exploreur® 655 – Aroma Line, the new tasting glass collection being previewed in our Paris showroom. This encounter explores an essential part of tasting: what you notice before the first sip.
The glass is designed to encourage a closer exploration of wine aromas. Its form becomes part of the experience as you observe the wine and gently move it in the bowl.
Our patented Nervure des Arômes, or Aroma Line, interacts with that movement to help release aromatic molecules. The session offers a way to discover the idea through your own senses.

SUNDAY
September 13
Bring Your Dream Wine Cellar Into Focus
3–6 p.m. Paris time · Limited capacity; first come, first served
If you have been collecting ideas for a home wine cellar, bring them to Paris with you. Photos of a room, favorite interiors, and thoughts about your collection can be the starting point for a design conversation.
Join designer Jean-Baptiste Lortion and project manager Antonin Ravel to imagine a cellar around your own space and preferences.
A selection of projects may be developed during the session, showing how a concept moves from a sketch into a 3D model. You can see the choices that begin to give a personal wine space its character.
The focus is on connecting the way you live with the way you keep and enjoy wine—a useful perspective to take home from your trip.
MONDAY
September 14
Thinking Beyond Wine Storage
3–6 p.m. Paris time · Sessions every 30 minutes
A well-considered wine cellar belongs to the home around it. This session looks at the decisions that make storage feel like part of an interior.
With project manager Antonin Ravel, discuss your ideas and discover the approach of Architecture Intérieure du Vin, our sister brand dedicated to wine cellars and spaces for wine.
Consider bottle organization alongside lighting, materials, furniture, and the way people move through a room. Together, these choices shape a space that works for your collection and reflects your taste.
You will then put the conversation into practice by exploring a concept for your ideal cellar. Bring your questions about the space you have in mind.

They will help Jean-Baptiste Lortion and Antonin Ravel discuss a cellar concept with you; selected projects may be explored through sketches and 3D modeling. The September 14 sessions offer another opportunity to discuss your project and work on an initial concept.
