Let yourself be tempted by our compositions
The chrome twin-blade corkscrew of L’Atelier du Vin, called Bilame, has been released as an anniversary version of the classic black Bilame.
When using this chrome twin-blade corkscrew, you will able to remove the cork without piercing it. Therefore, there is no crumble and no cork pieces that could go into your wine. This is the best opener for old bottles which corks are in bad shape.
As the legend goes, the Bilame was the favourite tool of waiters in French “ bistrots ”. Thanks to this double blade wine opener, they could take a few sips from bottles and then they would replace the cork without anyone noticing!
How to use it
- First insert the tip of the longer blade. Second, insert the tip of the short blade.
- Second, rock the two blades vertically one after the other with alternate movements so the blades slowly get in between the cork and the glass-bottle
- When the blades are completely driven in, remove the cork by both pulling and turning
- The cork will come out completely intact!
