The De Gaulle lever corkscrew and The Twin bladed corkscrew
The two go hand-in-hand. A trendy twist on French art de vivre. (More information)
Let yourself be tempted by our compositions
L’Atelier du Vin designer Margherita has revisited our two iconic corkscrews, wrapping them in red and blue leather.
Still the same simple design, but with a little extra zing.
The Bilame corkscrew features Ginger red leather, but stays true to the model’s classic simplicity in unrefined zamak, with links left deliberately visible.
Suspended from a black leather cord, the Les Bons Amis Bilame corkscrew can be worn around the neck or wrist for spur-of-the-moment picnics or evenings with friends.
Meanwhile, the lever corkscrew – L’Atelier du Vin’s other iconic tool – has been galvanized with Cobalto blue leather, in a move that will delight purists and fun lovers alike, showcasing rivets painted a matte black.
Les Bons Amis go hand-in-hand, combining functionality with aesthetic design. The Bilame is perfectly suited to older bottles, while the lever corkscrew can handle all the rest.
Presented in a high-quality cardboard gift box, in a nod to the unrefined materials making up both corkscrews, the Les Bons Amis set is the perfect gift for a friend who enjoys French art de vivre and fine wine. We didn’t call it “Les Bons Amis” – “good friends” in French – for nothing.
My idea was to marry unrefined and noble materials. To showcase the unrefined metals in the Les Bons Amis corkscrews, I decided to wrap them in leather. Then, since they are both icons for L’Atelier du Vin, I wanted to highlight their similarities and complementarities. So I played with the color of the edges, opting for red leather with a blue edge for one, and blue leather with a red edge for the other.
